The features in this dataset originate from a managed layer of GIS parcel areas currently housed in Boone County's GIS maintenance database. The key process used in deriving the area features within this dataset involves merging legally recorded discreet parcels on file with the County Clerk that have been assigned the same property tax identification number (PIDN) by the Property Valuation Administrator's office (PVA). </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>The BCPC's data technicians who are charged with maintaining the parcel layer in the GIS maintenance database that this dataset is derived from are not licensed surveyors. The BCPC has a great deal of respect for the surveying community and the vital role that they play in creating accurate land descriptions. The BCPC wants to therefore stress that the features depicted by this dataset is our best effort to reflect accurate parcel boundaries; However, this dataset must not be construed as survey-quality representations of parcel boundaries. Please consult a licensed surveyor if precise accuracy is of paramount importance to your specific use case.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
